Adderall information
Amphetamines such as Adderall are used to treat attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). They decrease restlessness and increase the attention span in overactive, unfocused, or emotionally unstable patients. The medicines should be prescribed as a part of an overall treatment program that also includes social and psychological therapy or supervision.
Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine may also be used to treat narcolepsy.

Using Adderall
Take as directed. Do not change your dose or take it for longer than you were directed. If you think this medicine is not working properly after you have taken it for several weeks, consult a doctor.
Swallow capsules/tablets whole. Do not crush, break or chew them. You can take them with or without food, unless your MD specified otherwise.
For patients taking the short-acting form of this medicine: take the last dose of the day at least 6 hours before bedtime.
For patients taking the long-acting form of this medicine, take the daily dose about 10 to 14 hours before bedtime to help prevent trouble in sleeping.
How to store Adderall
Store away from heat, light, and moisture, and out of the reach of children. In its capsule/tablet form, the medicine should be stored in a dry place (do not keep it in the bathroom).
What to do on a missed Adderall Dosge
If you take one dose a day and you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible within the same day, but not so late that it would cause trouble in sleeping (see directions). However, if you do not remember the missed dose until the next day, just skip the missed dose.
If you take more than one dose a day, and you remember within an hour or so of the missed dose, take the dose right away. If you do not remember until later, just skip the missed dose.
Never take a double dose.

This medicine may become habit-forming if too much is taken (causing mental or physical dependence).
