Drug Interactions with Prozac

Combining Prozac with one of the drugs known as MAO inhibitors or MAOIs is dangerous. If you are taking a MAOI, do not take Prozac. If you have taken a MAOI, wait at least 2 weeks before taking Prozac. If you have taken Prozac, wait at least 5 weeks after you stop taking Prozac before taking a MAOI. Also, do not take Thioridazine at the same time as Prozac. If you have taken Prozac and stopped, wait at least 5 weeks before using Thioridazine.
